Brian Bassitt

Brian Bassitt is a chef for University Catering. He went to Pennsylvania Culinary and worked at a couple of private clubs during his time at college. At the job recruit work internships, the Ritz Carleton in St. Louis selected Brian. After learning all the stations and passing his review, he received his diploma in Culinary Arts with a certificate in Nutrition. Brian moved to Columbus in 2001 and started working for OSU. Starting at the Fawcett Center and working in kitchens across campus that needed help. In 2004 Brian started in the Catering kitchen and worked at the Raney Location until the Ohio Union was ready. Brian helped open the Ohio Union and has helped keep a high standard in well-prepared food, and eye-appealing displays. While working at the Fawcett Center, Brian met his bride-to-be, and they have been married now for 21 years. They have two daughters that keep them busy.
