Our student staff plays a vital role in fulfilling the mission of Events and Conferences. The team is always looking for dedicated students who are eager for opportunities to thrive, learn and grow in customer service, event planning, business operations and sales. Intern Housing Student Manager (Events and Conferences):

  • The Intern Housing Student Manager supports the full operations of Ohio State’s summer intern and long-term housing program by managing agreements, billing, room assignments, and guest communication from initial inquiry through check-out. This role provides high-level customer service across email, phone, and in-person interactions while coordinating administrative processes in systems such as StarRez, EMS, and DocuSign. The manager maintains tracking spreadsheets, prepares reports, manages the intern housing inbox and phone line, and helps create a welcoming intern experience through events and engagement efforts. They also serve in the manager-on-call rotation to address urgent guest needs. Candidates must be available to work during both Spring Semester and the full summer conference season.

  • Student Life Events and Conferences at The Ohio State University is seeking motivated, detail-oriented student leaders to serve as Summer Conference Student Staff operations Manager. This role supports the training, scheduling, and supervision of student staff for summer conferences, events, and intern housing, while collaborating closely with professional staff on daily operations and logistics. Staff manager will lead staff meetings, develop training materials, manage schedules, and serve in the manager-on-call rotation to ensure smooth operations and strong customer service. Applicants must be able to work 8–12 hours per week during the spring semester and transition to full-time availability during the summer.

  • The Summer Conference Assistant supports a welcoming, safe, and well-organized living environment for guests participating in summer conferences, events, and intern housing at The Ohio State University. This role serves as a front-line ambassador for Student Life by providing high-quality customer service, managing daily desk operations, and responding to guest needs in real time. Assistants play a critical role in building safety, access control, and issue resolution while ensuring accurate documentation and communication across teams. Through on-call coverage, preparation shifts, and direct guest engagement, the position helps ensure smooth operations and positive guest experiences. All individuals hired into this role are required to live in the residence halls from May through August, directly supporting Student Life’s mission of fostering belonging, well-being, and successful campus experiences.

Summer Conference Access Coordinator:

  • The Summer Conference Access Coordinator (Student) is responsible for managing all access systems for summer conference and intern housing guests, including access cards, brass keys, and secure entry to residence halls. This role ensures that keys and cards are accurately encoded, tracked, stored, and distributed while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards. The coordinator also supports front desk operations and participates in the manager on-call rotation to resolve urgent access or safety issues. Working closely with the Lead Student Manager and Events & Conferences leadership, this position plays a critical role in keeping summer housing operations running smoothly. This is an in-person position that requires full availability from May through August.

(ATI) Wooster - Summer Conference Assistant

    The OSU ATI Wooster Summer Conference Assistant supports Summer Intern  operations at the Applewood Village Apartments by serving in an overnight and weekend on call rotation from May through August. This role responds to lockouts, low level facility issues, guest questions, and assists with check ins and check outs as needed. The position works closely with leadership and student managers on the Columbus campus to ensure smooth operations. This role requires living in OSU ATI housing at Applewood Village from May through June as part of the position’s on site responsibilities.
