Our student staff plays a vital role in fulfilling the mission of Events and Conferences. The team is always looking for dedicated students who are eager for opportunities to thrive, learn and grow in customer service, event planning, business operations and sales. Additionally, the office is always looking for interns who are looking for hands-on experience in the behind-the-scenes planning, execution, and business side of the events and conferences business to increase revenue to enhance the student experience on campus. Intern Housing Student Manager (Events and Conferences):

  • The Intern Housing Student Manager supports the full operations of Ohio State’s summer intern and long-term housing program by managing agreements, billing, room assignments, and guest communication from initial inquiry through check-out. This role provides high-level customer service across email, phone, and in-person interactions while coordinating administrative processes in systems such as StarRez, EMS, and DocuSign. The manager maintains tracking spreadsheets, prepares reports, manages the intern housing inbox and phone line, and helps create a welcoming intern experience through events and engagement efforts. They also serve in the manager-on-call rotation to address urgent guest needs. Candidates must be available to work during both Spring Semester and the full summer conference season.
